SpinDashDude here and I’m excited to be a part of the Rapture gaming event again in a town I spent a lot of my youth growing up within! I’ve been cosplaying since October 2015 and have a few cosplays under my belt, but I am mostly known for my Cloud Strife from FFVII and Raziel from Soul Reaver cosplays.
However, I’m excited to share with you my latest cosplay, Link from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild! Cosplay for me has always been a bit of an escape from the real world and engaging with like minded people. When we’re out and about in our everyday lives, we tend to mostly stick to ourselves, however as soon as you adorn a cosplay, everyone that recognises the character wants to know and speak to you.
Becoming a character immediately gives people an idea of your interests and breaks the ice for those with similar interests. As someone that’s always considered themselves as someone who blends into the background of everyday life, cosplay allows me to be seen and meet new people.
Prior to 2018, Naomi had never really picked up a makeup brush, but now she’s swiftly gaining a reputation for her shape-shifting, gender-bending abilities. Having cosplayed over 160 characters so far, she’s had to figure out all sorts of hacks for for various budgets with strange materials, dipping into a slew of different media and fandoms, and learning a few secrets from her experience in the film industry as an actress and extra.
She’s incredibly excited to be making her guest appearance here at Rapture, where she’ll be more than happy to share some of her favorite tricks!
I’m a cosplayer of 25 from the north west, who loves to constantly push my limits of design from taking artistic liberties with designs or teaching myself a whole new skill for a costume.
I was self employed in cosplay for 2 years until I stopped to pursue cosplay as a hobby only so I could focus more on the craft than deadlines. Im having more fun than ever with costumes and love pushing myself with each new cosplay I do.
Nice to meet all you lovely costumers and cosplayers alike!
If you want to know a little bit about me, I have been an avid cosplayer for 10 years now, though it only became serious in the last 3 years when I started to branch out into social media and helping my community to reach their potential Though I have been cosplaying for many years I always found it more rewarding to give advice and collab with my fellow cosplayers then it was to reach a goal of Notoriety using my following more of a way to connect with others And make everyone smile . I wear a combination of homemade and bought Costumes, although as time went by I found simply getting into a costume my favourite part! Cosplay, to me, is bringing the characters I love to life.
I enjoy bringing smiles to both kids and adults as I bring their beloved characters to life in the real world! My favourite cosplay to date is hard to choose, as time as gone on I found the ones that brought the most smiles where the best for example my Ariel dead pool made people laugh and my Wraith from apex legends had people in awe of the detail I can’t wait to meet everyone and being smiles to you all!
Atom has featured in everything from Syndicate videos to on the side of buses! Having recently performed alongside Microsoft, Atom Cosplay is equipped to answer any question about cosplay; from how to build foam armour to how to handle working in the professional environment.
‘I never really knew cosplay existed at first. I made costumes for fancy dress parties and Halloween, I entered my first Masquerade and fell in love. I work mainly with eva foam, expanding foam, cardboard etc, and love to upcycle/recycle anything into a costume. Since getting the hang of Foam Smithing, I’ve started adding motors, LEDs and even home made smoke machines into my cosplays.’

We’ll be presenting a curated collection of props from beginning stages to finished pieces, and you could be there to see them all.
